I firmly believe that we are in one of the greatest moments of history, a period in time where the lines between darkness and light have never been clearer, as those who have vested their time, energy, resources and faith in the systems of this world searching for happiness, security, and prosperity are coming to the inescapable conclusion that their investment has yielded little or no return. Even the media is filled with story after story of the horrific price we are paying for the moral decline that has gripped our society as a result of our abandoning our moral position in pursuit of the treasures of this world. Much like the fabled song of the siren the promise of social acceptance, comfort, personal freedom, individuality and the near unrestricted pursuit of happiness has drawn us from the safe path charted by the voice of God and led us to the verge of destruction. But it is not too late to turn the ship and steer it back into safe waters if we will allow Jesus to be the captain and faithfully heed His commands. This work which has been years in the making is a series of essays which embody part of the continuing revelation of God's will that He has been gracious enough to reveal to me. I believe that these fragments which are parts of a larger and continuing conversation are being shared in an attempt to help those who read them to see themselves and perhaps God through His eyes. It is God's great desire that as we become more like Jesus and that we have an evolving understanding of who we are in Him and what our true purpose is on the earth, so that His will for us and the earth will be fulfilled. Even the most elementary student of the Bible knows that as a result of the fall of Adam the earth and everything on it has been marred and no longer represents the beauty of God's creation as God intended and man as its steward has been given the responsibility to restore the beauty that God intended to demonstrate through it's creation. However it should be equally clear that the fall of Adam marred Adam as well and as a result Adam no longer thinks with the mind of God and is incapable of restoring the earth to the image that God intended unless he himself was first restored. That restoration of course was completed by God through the finish works of Jesus Christ and through His death and resurrection became available to all who would believe. One of the most amazing gifts given to us as part of the finished works of Christ is the indwelling of the Holy Spirit which allows us to among many other blessings to hear the voice of God and with it the hope of not only receiving complete restoration for ourselves but also complete restoration of all that God created. However the question becomes can we hear Him, in the midst of the raging storms of our lives and the waves of attacks we face. This book is designed to aid in that process. Within the pages of this book is a collection of essays which I believe reveal the heart of God for His people and hope will serve as both information and inspiration. It is my prayer that as you read the essays contained in this work they will stir with in you a deep passion for living a life in Christ and pursuing the vision He has for you.
